Biography
Amanda Nagle is a PhD candidate at the University of Texas and research collaborator at REAL. She studies access to contraception, abortion, and pregnancy loss care. Both her dissertation and collaboration on the Reproductive Health Experiences and Access (RHEA) Survey focus on the impact of abortion bans on access to care for pregnancy loss. She has training as a survey methodologist and demographer, and she brings quantitative skills and a passion for data collection to her work. Amanda holds a B.S. in Statistics and Political Science from the University of South Carolina and an M.P.H. from Columbia University’s Population and Family Health department, with a certificate in Sexuality, Sexual and Reproductive Health.

Amanda loves to bake and eat. She can often be found making the classics- her cheesecake recipe is legendary and she also makes very good sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies. She can’t abstain from eating cookie dough, and also loves a warm cookie right out of the oven. She also loves to read fiction and spends time advocating to her city for better library funding.
