Dr. Dana Johnson is a Health Disparities Research Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. She is dedicated to conducting, supporting, and disseminating innovative research that supports our efforts to achieve reproductive equity and justice for all people.  Her research is focused on access to abortion and contraception, with an emphasis on adolescents, self-managed abortion, and the safety and effectiveness of medication abortion.

Dr. Johnson holds a BA in Sociology and Social Justice from The University of Minnesota, a Master’s in Public Affairs  from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, and her PhD in Public Policy and Demography from The University of Texas at Austin.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A veterinarian.

What’s your favorite outdoor activity?

Running or hiking with my pup, ZaZa.
