Biography
Dr. Michelle DeMeo is an Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin, with anticipated completion of training in 2028. She earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College, where she also completed a certificate in Health Equity and Social Justice Leadership. She previously completed a post-baccalaureate training at Northwestern University and received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Health from Emory University.
Dr. DeMeo’s clinical and academic interests include maternal–fetal medicine, quality improvement, and health equity. Her research focuses on improving maternal outcomes, including current work evaluating the relationship between aspirin dosing and postpartum hemorrhage risk. Her scholarly work has been presented at the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine Annual Meeting.
She is actively involved in resident leadership and advocacy, serving as Junior District Fellow Vice Chair for the Wisconsin District of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and participating in national advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill during the Congressional Leadership Conference. She is passionate about advancing patient-centered care and improving multidisciplinary care coordination for high-risk obstetric populations.
