Dr. Tiffany Green is a nationally recognized economist, population health scientist, and science communicator whose mission is to reduce and eliminate racial/ethnic inequities in reproductive health.

Klaira Lerma is a public health researcher with over 12 years of experience in reproductive health, rights, and justice. Klaira’s research focuses on reproductive health, particularly abortion and contraception. She investigates barriers to accessing preferred contraception, the impact of legislation on abortion access, and innovative service delivery methods. Her work also explores clients’ perceptions of and experiences with reproductive health services, emphasizing person-centered care.

Dr. Laura Swan is a social worker and public health researcher whose work is focused on improving reproductive health equity and increasing access to contraception and abortion, with an emphasis on eliminating discrimination and coercion in care.

Ellen is a Data Analyst at REAL and supports nearly every project within our portfolio, right now she is focused on the Reproductive Health Experiences and Access (RHEA) survey analysis and leading the quantitative evaluation analysis of a care coordination program in Dane County called ConnectRx.

Dr. Brooke Whitfield is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at REAL -- she supports the Reproductive Health Experiences and Access (RHEA) project and moves her own mixed-methods scholarship forward examining how young people navigate sexual and reproductive healthcare access.

Yanissa is a part-time Research Operations Assistant at REAL. She provides vital support to our portfolio of work. She is gaining research experience while she prepares to apply to medical school, with a goal of pursuing a speciality in obstetrics and gynecology.

Lindsay Cannon is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. At REAL, Lindsay works on projects related to contraceptive coercion by healthcare providers and reproductive coercion from intimate partners.

Beverly is an affiliated graduate student, advised by Dr. Green, studying pathways to improve health care delivery systems.

Dr. Dana Johnson is a Postdoctoral Trainee in the Health Disparities Research Scholars (HDRS) Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Population Health Sciences.

Sara Nelson is a MSW student in the Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. At REAL, Sara works on projects related to coercion in contraceptive care and supports REAL's portfolio of research.

Dr. Brittanni N. Wright is a Postdoctoral Trainee in the Health Disparities Research Scholars (HDRS) Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Population Health Sciences.

Dr. Anderson-Carter is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a clinician. She collaborates with our team on racial disparities in postpartum pain evaluation and management research.

Dr. Hagiwara is a Professor of Public Health Sciences and Director of the Program on Health Disparities and Community Engagement Research at the University of Virginia (UVA). She collaborates with our team on racial disparities in postpartum pain evaluation and management research.

Dr. Romell is a Postdoctoral Researcher in reproductive demography at the Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science at Oxford University. She continues to collaborate with REAL on research focused on abortion mandatory waiting periods and birth cost recovery.

Dr. Seymour is a Research Scientist at the Collaborative for Reproductive Equity (CORE) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She collaborates with our team on our Black People's Pregnancy Preferences Study (BoPPs).

Eva Strelitz-Block is a medical student at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. Eva collaborates with the team on a number of projects, including the Birth Cost Recovery and Black People's Abortion Preferences (BoPPs) projects.
